Given that he looks like Isaac Hayes and sounds like Curtis Mayfield, it's no surprise that R&B singer Sleepy Brown sticks with a funky 1970s aesthetic on 2006's MR. BROWN. Best known for his vocal turn on Outkast's hit "The Way You Move," Brown, a member of the Organized Noize production crew, offers up a semi-sequel to that tune on the smooth, easy-going "Margarita," which features both Pharrell and Big Boi. The dreamy, sitar-laced "Me, My Baby & My Cadillac" and the sensual "Till (Your Legs Start Shaking)" are other highlights of this entertaining, neo-soul outing.
